QUINCY, MA — March 20th — For a practical first aid training session, the Quincy Fire Department welcomed a group of local Girl Scouts. Scouts were taught fundamental skills by firefighters, such as how to handle minor injuries, recognize crises, and use basic medical equipment. The scouts' efforts to obtain their first aid badges and pins were aided by the training.

To reinforce the skills acquired throughout the visit, each participant was given a personal first aid kit. The program helps teach young residents about emergency preparedness and safety procedures in line with current community risk reduction initiatives. Throughout the session, crews observed high levels of involvement. The program fostered excellent relationships between firemen and the community while offering practical teaching.
