WEARE, NH — March 31st — At John Stark Regional High School, the Weare Fire Rescue, located at 144 North Stark Highway, helped with a driver education program that focused on road awareness and apparatus safety. The lesson on blind spots and safe driving near emergency vehicles was taught by firefighter Tyler Adams, a call member with more than a year of experience. To learn about stopping distances and visibility constraints, students alternated in the driver's seat of a fire engine. When responding to emergencies, crews emphasized that huge equipment requires additional space.

Collaborations between fire departments and driver education programs are frequently employed to lower the number of collisions involving emergency vehicles. In order to reinforce safe practices, students also inquired about actual instances. Adams' efforts and ongoing outreach were acknowledged by the agency.
