RICHMOND, RI — April 15th — During a week of celebration, the Richmond Carolina Fire District honored Animal Control Officers for their community contributions.
Animal control officers handle a variety of calls, such as those involving stray or injured animals, public safety issues, and assistance during emergencies. They frequently work alongside police enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services, which calls for collaboration and a calm demeanor in uncertain circumstances.
The department urged locals to recognize local animal control officers and their services to animal welfare and public safety.
