WILBRAHAM, MA — March 26th — The Wilbraham Fire Department taught hands-only CPR to about 200 juniors and seniors at Minnechaug Regional High School.
The workshop was organized by the physical education department, nurses, and HWRSD health services. Students were trained to recognize cardiac crises and do chest compressions in order to encourage early response before emergency crews arrived.
Schools often employ hands-only CPR classes to improve survival rates during cardiac emergencies and raise community readiness.
