Revere Fire Supports Special Olympics Polar Plunge

REVERE, MA — March 21st — In order to generate money for Special Olympics programs, over 100 people participated in the Special Olympics Polar Plunge at Revere Beach, which was sponsored by the Revere Fire Department.


Two rescue swimmers with specialized training and a crew from Engine 1 provided water safety covering for the duration of the descent. Employees kept an eye on the situation and were prepared to help participants get into and out of the water.


The department operated alongside Revere Police Department, Massachusetts State Police, and Cataldo Ambulance Service to ensure a coordinated public safety presence.
