Richmond, MA - The Richmond Volunteer Fire Department conducted a realistic cardiac arrest training scenario, with crews responding in stages to mirror real-world conditions. Initial members began patient assessment and CPR, while additional responders arrived to assist with ongoing care.

During the exercise, continuous compressions were maintained and the LUCAS device was utilized to deliver consistent, high-quality CPR. Firefighters also practiced packaging, extricating, and transporting the patient from the simulated structure to the ambulance using different routes.

The training served as a valuable refresher, reinforcing coordination, teamwork, and critical lifesaving skills, with the day crew recognized for leading the session.
