Groton, NY — March 26th — In late summer 2025, members of the Groton Fire Department and Ambulance completed practical training using their battery-operated extrication tools.

The goal of the training was to familiarize participants with spreaders and cutters so they could practice precision and tool control. Crews engaged in skill-based activities that reinforced stable operation and communication, such as moving an object without causing harm and using the tools in a controlled coordination practice.
