On April 5, the Bloomfield Fire Department announced that a number of members had been promoted and sworn in.

Firefighter Gamba, Captain Searls, Captain Urey, and Battalion Chief Critchley received formal recognition for their departmental achievement. According to officials, each member's dedication, professionalism, and commitment to service are reflected in the promotions.

The recently promoted officers are expected to respect the service's traditions and exercise leadership both on and off the fireground, according to department authorities.

Additionally, the department expressed gratitude to the New Jersey Fire Marshals Office, the Township Council, and the New Jersey State FMBA for their attendance and support at the event.
