BAY HEAD, NJ — March 29th — During an eight-hour training program that alternated between classroom instruction and fieldwork, members of the Bay Head Fire Department trained alongside crews from Ocean Fire Company No. 1 (Point Pleasant Beach) and Squankum Fire Company (Howell Township).

Engine 88 retired FDNY Lt. Tim Klett presented a four-hour leadership and development workshop to start the day. The talk concentrated on leadership, communication, and decision-making techniques that may be applied both on and off the fireground.

After that, members went to the Brick Township Fire Academy for a four-hour practical training session with Lt. Klett and Baltimore City Fire Department firefighter Connor Klett. Workers practiced advanced hose line operations, focusing on big handline management, movement, and placement in tight areas.
