ALPHA, NJ — March 21st — Konrad "Konnie" Mellert, a longstanding member of Delaware Park Chemical Engine Company No. 1 and a well-respected figure in the local fire department, passed away, according to the Alpha Volunteer Fire Company Station 82. For many years, Mellert supported firefighter benefits, advocacy, and departmental cooperation while serving as a Warren County Committeeman for the New Jersey State Firemen's Association.

He was well-known for giving members all across the county advice and sharing his experiences. His contribution to preserving connections between regional businesses and statewide groups and fostering mutual aid partnerships was acknowledged by officials.
