Volunteers Train on OVEIS and Hose Advancement

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

On March 23, members of Kingston Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 completed their weekend training, concentrating on outside vent-enter-isolate-search (OVEIS) tactics and hose progression.

In order to increase fireground efficiency and victim search protocols, firefighters reviewed hose deployment and interior search operations for around three hours. The training followed another three-hour session held the previous weekend that focused on hose deployment before crews were dispatched to assist in Princeton.
