WILLIAMSON, NY — March 21st — At the department's annual banquet this past Saturday, Williamson Fire Company #1 named Firefighter Todd Wilson its Firefighter of the Year. Every year, a member who exhibits dedication through response activities, training participation, and community and departmental involvement is given the award. Wilson was chosen for the award, according to department authorities, because of his regular involvement in calls and departmental events.

Annual banquets are a common way for volunteer fire departments in New York to honor member service and showcase the work they've done all year long. These occasions also offer a chance to recognize the contributions of volunteers who assist with community safety and emergency response. To commemorate Wilson's service and commemorate the occasion, members gathered with families and supporters.
