This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

WAYMART, PA — March 21st — In order to examine aerial equipment operations, firefighters from the Waymart Volunteer Fire Company and the Crystal Fire Company took part in a joint training session. Waymart firefighters learned how to use the department's new aerial ladder and flowed water from the ladder truck during the Saturday morning training. From the elevated platform, crews examined hose line operations, ladder setup, and positioning.

Firefighters can better grasp the capabilities of equipment that may respond through the mutual aid system by receiving training from nearby agencies. Aerial ladder trucks are frequently employed for roof access, elevated master streams, and support tasks during building fires. Joint training sessions like this, according to officials, enhance departmental cooperation and guarantee that crews can collaborate successfully in emergency situations.
