Richmond, RI - The Richmond-Carolina Fire District participated in specialized training focused on large animal and equine rescue, led by experienced instructors from the Hianloland Fire Department. This hands-on session introduced firefighters to essential equipment, rescue tactics, and safety considerations unique to incidents involving horses and other large animals.
Training of this nature is invaluable to the community. Situations involving large animals can be complex, physically demanding, and potentially hazardous. By building these skills in advance, responders are better prepared to handle emergencies safely and effectively when they occur.
The district extends its appreciation to Deputy Chief Josh Wilds, Deputy Chief Alex Potts, and Lieutenant Elena Wilds for sharing their expertise and providing an informative, high-quality training experience.
