Ashby Fire & EMS Receives Support from New Ipswich Fire Department Amid Equipment Repairs

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Ashby, MA - Ashby Fire & EMS extends its sincere appreciation to the New Ipswich Fire Department for providing a reserve engine during a critical period.

With Engine 4 currently out of service at A-1 Services in Mason for emergency repairs, the department is operating with limited apparatus. The timely assistance from New Ipswich ensures that emergency response capabilities remain strong and the community continues to be protected.

As operations continue under reduced capacity especially during ongoing drought conditions—residents are urged to remain vigilant about fire safety. Without a municipal hydrant system, Ashby relies on drafting sites and water sources across town, making fire prevention and early reporting more important than ever.
