This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

WARREN, MA — March 5th — The Central Mass Sparks Association and its Rehab 78 unit participated in a training session at the Warren Fire Department, located at 1012 Main St. The group went to the department to show off the assistance services they offer in the event of an emergency in central Massachusetts. Members discussed how the rehab unit helps firefighters during prolonged operations by offering rest areas, medical monitoring, and hydration so crews may return to work safely.

The group also talked about other support services that are offered at significant incidents, such as on-site pet care and aid for displaced households. When these specialized support units are needed during mutual aid responses, training sessions such as these help departments better understand local resources and enhance coordination.
