DOVER, NH — March 18th — Firefighters from the Durham, Newington, and Pease Fire Departments participated in a regional technical rescue training session with members of the Department Dover Professional Fire Officers L-2909, Dover, NH, United States, 03820. Crews practiced rappelling and rope rescue techniques using a stair tower at the University of New Hampshire.
Firefighters conducted practical drills centered on rope systems used in high-angle rescue situations, compared methods, and examined rescue equipment. Departments can rehearse in a controlled setting while getting ready for actual crises thanks to training facilities like stair towers. Responses to circumstances requiring heights, cramped areas, and difficult access are supported by technical rescue training. Joint drills, according to officials, improve departmental cooperation and readiness for regional mutual aid actions.
