MILTON, NH — March 12th — Chief Mike George was honored by Department Milton Fire-Rescue members as he retired from the fire department after a lengthy career in public safety. After starting off as a call firefighter in Milton, George went on to work for the City of Rochester Fire Department, where he eventually became chief.
He held a number of operational and leadership positions over the years and was well-known for encouraging departmental collaboration and training. George graduated from Nute High School as well, and his efforts to the community have earned him a spot on the school's Wall of Distinction.
