West Boylston Firefighters Graduate from Massachusetts Fire Academy

WEST BOYLSTON, MA — March 11th — After graduating from the Massachusetts Fire Academy in Stow, Firefighters Greg Shannon and Connor McCormack were acknowledged by the West Boylston Fire Department, 39 Worcester St., West Boylston, MA, United States, 01583. For firemen throughout the Commonwealth, the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy offers a thorough recruit training program. Fire behavior, structural firefighting, search and rescue, ladder operations, ventilation, hazardous materials awareness, and emergency scene safety are all covered in the curriculum.


Alongside candidates from departments around Massachusetts, Shannon and McCormack finished the multi-week program. With state-recognized certification and training that facilitates safe and efficient emergency operations, graduates return to respective departments. According to department officials, completing academy training enhances the department's preparedness and facilitates ongoing service to the West Boylston community.
