Palmer Firefighter Graduates from Massachusetts Fire Academy

Palmer, MA — March 7th — The Palmer Fire Department announced that Firefighter Kristin Schuelke graduated from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy Career Recruit Training Program at the Springfield site as part of Class S44.


During the ten-week program, Firefighter Schuelke received more than 400 hours of training in firefighting operations, safety procedures, and emergency response abilities. The academy program consists of classroom education and hands-on drills designed to prepare recruits for service with the fire department. During the graduation ceremony, Firefighter Schuelke sang the National Anthem.


Department officials commended Schuelke on completing the program, stating that the training is an important step toward educating firefighters to serve their communities safely and effectively.


The Palmer Fire Department applauded her success and looks forward to her continuing service.
