The Berlin Fire & EMS Department's duty crew provided hands-on training on April 2nd, taking advantage of the pleasant weather.

Firefighters reviewed pumping and drafting operations, demonstrating how to move water from a source to an equipment during fire suppression. During simulated operations, trainees learned how to operate pumps and keep a steady supply of water. Officials said continuing to practice core firefighting operations helps crews remain ready to respond effectively when incidents occur in the community.
