NORTH HAMPTON, NH — March 20th — In order to evaluate response protocols for cold water crises, the duty crew of North Hampton Fire & Rescue, located at 235 Atlantic Avenue, North Hampton, NH, United States, recently conducted ice rescue training on Atlantic Avenue. Firefighters rehearsed how to handle situations where someone gets stuck on unstable ice or falls through it. Crews practiced coordinated entrance and victim evacuation while using ropes, rescue boards, and ice rescue suits.

Additionally, teamwork and communication—two crucial components of cold water rescues—were examined. In colder climates where frozen lakes, ponds, and coastal areas might pose seasonal risks, fire crews are frequently required to undergo ice rescue training. According to officials, frequent training keeps firemen ready to handle winter water situations in a safe and efficient manner.
