This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Somersworth, NH — March 2nd — At a swearing-in ceremony attended by other firemen, Somersworth Professional firemen Local 2320 welcomed two new members. President John Dann formally swore Dan Duquette and Kyle Dodier into the local union after they took an oath in front of their peers. After taking the oath, both firefighters became members of the International Association of Fire Fighters, a group that represents over 364,000 emergency medical personnel and professional firefighters in the US and Canada.

Through professional representation within the fire service, workplace safety initiatives, and training opportunities, union membership benefits firefighters. With the arrival of Duquette and Dodier, Local 2320 is better able to support its members and raise the bar for the Somersworth community's fire department.
