Photo by RON JEFFERSOn March 28th, Fairview Squad 1's new Spartan Metro Star model 1500-gpm/500-gwt rescue-pumper got its its first work out during a multiple-alarm fire involving a duplex dwelling on Eighth St. Chauffeur Pat Buglione said the rig had two separate supply lines feeding the rig, one front and one rear intake. It was supplying three hand-lines and one supply line to Cliffside Park Ladder 1's ladder pipe. Later, its light tower was placed into operation.
