March 9, 2026 — Members of the Hinesburg Fire Department participated in the 2026 Vermont EMS Conference 2026, where Fire Chief Prescott Nadeau served as a co-instructor for a specialized workshop focused on mass casualty incidents and the effective use of the Incident Command System. The training brought together EMS professionals from across New England to develop and refine critical response skills for complex, low-frequency but high-risk emergencies. Participants engaged in hands-on scenarios and collaborative exercises designed to enhance coordination, decision-making, and resource management during large-scale incidents. The department highlighted the value of regional partnerships, noting the presence of personnel from agencies such as Williston Fire Department and Richmond Rescue. Additional instruction and support were provided by Precision Training, reinforcing the importance of continued education and interagency collaboration in maintaining high standards of emergency response.
