March 7, 2026 — Brevard County Fire Rescue officially placed its new Station 86 and Engine 86 into service, marking a significant addition to fire protection resources in the Barefoot Bay/Micco area. To celebrate the milestone, the department hosted a community open house, inviting residents to tour the new facility and view the apparatus up close. The event highlighted the department’s commitment to enhancing emergency response capabilities while strengthening community relationships. Officials also recognized W+J Construction Corp. for its role in building the station and thanked community members for their support and participation in the event, which brought together firefighters and residents in a family-friendly atmosphere.
