Members Climb 90 Feet During Aerial Ladder Drill

LEROY, NY — March 24th — Members of the LeRoy Fire Department trained on ladder truck operations. During the simulation, firefighters trained using the aerial ladder, and many members climbed 90 feet at a 75-degree angle to obtain experience working at heights during emergency situations. According to officials, this type of training helps members feel comfortable and competent when using flying apparatus at fire scenes and rescue operations.
