March 26, 2026 — The Ferrisburgh Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported fire alarm activation at The Vermont Flannel Company on Route 7 at approximately 11:10 a.m. Ferrisburgh Engine 1 and Tanker were dispatched to the scene, where crews conducted a thorough investigation of the building. Utilizing detection meters, firefighters checked for any signs of hazardous conditions but found none. Officials determined the alarm was likely triggered by ongoing renovation work inside the structure. After confirming the building was safe, it was turned back over to the owners, and all units cleared the scene and returned to service without incident.
