Conklin, NY - The Conklin Volunteer Fire Department has proudly taken delivery of its new Tanker 46, marking the successful completion of a more than two-year planning and development process. Department members expressed their satisfaction with the final outcome, noting that the apparatus has been thoughtfully designed and equipped to serve the community effectively for years to come.

The new tanker replaces a 23-year-old pumper tanker and significantly enhances the department’s operational capacity, offering 3,000 gallons of water storage—double the capability of the previous unit. This upgrade is expected to strengthen emergency response efforts and improve service to the community.

The department also extended its appreciation to Mark at Firehouse Apparatus for his ongoing support throughout the process, highlighting the value of the continued partnership.

In the coming weeks, the department will focus on training and preparing personnel to place the new rig into active service, ensuring it is fully ready to meet the community’s needs moving forward.
