March 25, 2026 — The Lewiston Fire Department has announced it is actively seeking candidates for Firefighter/EMT positions. Officials say the department is looking for dedicated individuals ready to serve in fire suppression, rescue operations, and emergency medical response.

The position offers competitive pay and benefits, paid time off, and no residency requirement. Applicants must be at least 20 years old, possess a valid driver’s license, hold an EMT certification (Basic or higher), and have a high school diploma or GED. Firefighter I & II certification is preferred.
