Port Washington Firefighters Celebrate 50-Year Milestones

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — March 17th — The annual department meeting and elections were held by the Port Washington Fire Department, located at 423 Port Washington Blvd., Port Washington, NY, USA, 11050. The department's chief officers remained unchanged, and members re-elected Department Fire Prevention Officer and former Chief Brian Waterson, as well as First Assistant Chief Patrick Saccoccia and Second Assistant Chief Joseph LoRe.


The celebration of three members' 50 years of service was one of the meeting's highlights. Ex-Captain Donald Wilson of Flower Hill Hose Company 1, Chairman Robert Kropacek of Protection Engine Company No. 1, and Andrew Waterson of Atlantic Hook & Ladder Company 1 were recognized. A 50-year membership jacket was given to each member. The three have joined 28 other members who have accomplished the same goal, according to the department.
