On March 17, members of the Millbrook Fire Department held their weekly truck check night, evaluating equipment and apparatus to verify that everything is still ready for emergencies.

Firefighters spent several hours testing tools, operating equipment, inspecting gear, and ensuring that all apparatus systems were functional. Officials said the thorough checks guarantee that every piece of equipment is ready when a call comes in.

At the same time, the department's rescue team hosted an EMT training class to reinforce patient care skills and provide continuing education.
