March 16, 2026 — The Tisbury Fire Department conducted a weekend training exercise focused on aerial and apparatus operations, utilizing Ladder 651 and Engine 621 to enhance operational readiness and crew coordination. The drill provided firefighters with hands-on experience in positioning, operating, and maneuvering aerial equipment, as well as reinforcing safe and effective vehicle operations in a controlled environment. Crews worked collaboratively to review best practices, refine communication, and ensure proficiency with specialized apparatus, all of which are critical during emergency responses. Department officials emphasized that ongoing training such as this plays a vital role in maintaining a high level of preparedness and ensuring the safety of both responders and the community they serve.
