Georgetown, CT - The Georgetown Fire Company is currently conducting a scheduled cold water rescue training exercise at Mill Pond. Community members may notice emergency personnel and equipment both on the water and in the surrounding lot during this time.

This training is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to ensure preparedness and maintain high safety standards for water-related emergencies, particularly in colder conditions where response techniques differ significantly.
