Barnstable Fire Department Honors Members for Years of Dedicated Service

March 14, 2026 — The Barnstable Fire Department recognized two of its members for their service anniversaries during the month of March, highlighting their continued commitment to protecting the community. Lieutenant/EMT-P Matthew Goodwin was honored for 14 years of service, having joined the department on March 12, 2012, while Firefighter/EMT-P Austin Osborn was recognized for four years of service since his appointment on March 28, 2022. Department officials commended both members for their dedication, professionalism, and contributions to the safety and well-being of residents and visitors within the Barnstable Fire District. The recognition reflects the department’s ongoing effort to honor personnel milestones and acknowledge the experience and commitment that strengthen its emergency response capabilities.
