The Angola Fire Department is looking for new members who want to serve their community by volunteering.

The department provides training and benefits to prospective volunteers, such as free EMT training, CPR and first aid certification, and annual physicals. Members can also get $750 after finishing the initial New York State fire training and $1,250 after completing the interior firefighter course.

Retirement benefits, a $200 annual New York State tax credit, and potential property tax rebates are among the additional incentives available to active members.

Anyone interested in learning more is invited to visit the firehouse at 41 Commercial Street on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. to meet members and inquire about joining the department. For any questions, please email chiefburkley@villageofangola.org
