Merrimack, NH - Merrimack Fire Rescue recently hosted a four-hour “Stop the Bleed” workshop for approximately 300 staff members from the town’s elementary schools. EMS Coordinator Mayhew, Assistant Chief DiPaola, and staff from Catholic Medical Center (CMC) led the session, which is part of a national program developed by the American College of Physicians.

The training taught participants how to assess injuries, properly pack and dress wounds, and correctly use a tourniquet. The program highlights how collaboration between local emergency services and healthcare providers can strengthen community safety and preparedness.
