HICKSVILLE, NY — March 11th — After more than 50 years of volunteer fire service, longstanding member Michael Krummenacker passed away. The Hicksville Fire Department, located at 20 E Marie St., Hicksville, NY, is paying tribute to him. Krummenacker, who has lived in Hicksville his whole life, worked for the department for many years, including ten years as Fire Commissioner, where he supported community fire safety and helped direct department operations.

In addition, he held leadership positions in the Nassau County Firefighters Association and was a director of the Firefighters Association of the State of New York (FASNY). His efforts helped local volunteer firemen. Firefighters observed his commitment to volunteerism and civic duty. The FASNY Firefighters Home in Hudson, New York, is accepting donations in his honor.
