Forty Years of Public Service Marked by Joe Rice’s Retirement

FRANKLIN SQUARE, NY — March 2nd — Joe Rice's retirement was acknowledged by the Franklin Square Munson Fd, 841 Liberty Pl, Franklin Square, NY, following 40 years of service with both the Lynbrook Fire Department and the Nassau County Police Medic in the Emergency Ambulance Bureau. Rice worked with firefighters, police officers, and EMS professionals to react to thousands of emergency calls around Nassau County over his tenure.
Because of his professional background, he was also regarded as a reliable guide by aspiring firefighters and medics. His calm attitude to patient care and dedication to teamwork during emergency reactions were seen by colleagues. Rice contributed significantly to the region's emergency medical operations for more than 40 years. His lengthy career in public safety comes to an end with his retirement.
