The Binghamton Fire Department honored the memories of Lieutenant Scott Pavlick, who died on June 3rd, 2025, at the age of 47.

Pavlick worked for the City of Binghamton for 17 years, responding to emergencies and assisting individuals around the community. Throughout his tenure, he was recognized by his fellow firemen as a trustworthy and consistent presence on calls and at the firehouse.

Following his death, the City of Binghamton and the International Association of Fire Fighters officially acknowledged it as a Line of Duty Death, noting a cardiac episode consistent with long-term duty-related stress.

According to department colleagues, Pavlick's passion to the fire service and willingness to serve others had a long-lasting impact on the department and the community.
