February 24, 2026 — Apollo Hose Company #3 proudly announced that Junior Firefighter Wil Shank achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in Scouting, following the completion of a meaningful service project benefiting the department. As part of his Eagle Scout requirements, Shank designed and constructed a custom gear drying rack to assist firefighters in properly drying and maintaining their turnout gear, enhancing both safety and equipment longevity. The project reflects his dedication to both the Scouting program and the fire service, and members of the department commended his hard work, leadership, and commitment to supporting his fellow firefighters.
