Rochester, NY — March 11th — As the city gets ready for the forthcoming Rochester St. Patrick's Day Parade, the Rochester Fire Department changed its social media profile with a St. Patrick's Day-themed department logo. The modification emphasizes the department's ties to the community while acknowledging the seasonal celebration. Along with other public safety agencies, civic organizations, and community groups, the department's firefighters will march in the parade.

One of the city's long-standing customs is the March parade, which attracts locals and tourists to the downtown area. Residents have the chance to engage with firefighters outside of emergency situations when fire department members participate. Events like the parade, according to officials, highlight the importance of firemen in Rochester's public safety while also fostering stronger ties throughout the community.
