— March 5th —Members of the Schuyler Hose Co. honored President Laurie Scheuing for 15 years of active service at the company's monthly meeting on March 5th.

Scheuing has contributed to the department's administration and operations. In addition to her role as company president, she is a lieutenant on the operations staff, responding to emergency calls and assisting members with incidents and training.

Department members acknowledged that her leadership and ongoing devotion had aided the organization's aim of providing volunteer fire protection to the Watervliet community.
