Mashpee, MA - Captain Kevin Long has reached an impressive 40-year milestone with the department, marking a career defined by exceptional leadership and an unwavering commitment to safety. As the captain of Group 4, he has consistently demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and a deep dedication to his team and community.


Throughout his distinguished career, Captain Long has played a vital role in maintaining the department’s operational efficiency. He has served in several key positions, including Vehicle Maintenance Officer, Department Policy Writer, and Vice President of Local 2519. His contributions extend beyond the local level, with deployments alongside FEMA and participation in both the National and State Fire Academies.


Over the past four decades, Captain Long has become a cornerstone of the Mashpee Fire Department, embodying the values of service, integrity, and excellence. His enduring commitment and impact have left a lasting legacy within the department.


From March 17, 1986, to March 17, 2026, Captain Kevin Long’s remarkable service is celebrated with pride. Congratulations to Captain Long on this extraordinary achievement.
