CHELSEA, NY — February 23rd —The funeral service for Matilda has been rescheduled, according to the Chelsea Fire Company. Visitation will take place at Riverview Funeral Home in Beacon, New York. At 7:00 p.m., there will be a Firematic Service that will allow community members and firemen to come together and offer their respects.

Firematic services are a long-standing tradition within the fire service. They are frequently held by departments to honor those associated with the department and to unite firefighters in solidarity. It is anticipated that members of the local community and neighboring departments would attend the event and acknowledge Matilda's ties to the Chelsea fire service family.
