March 11, 2026 — Baldwin County Fire Rescue conducted a fire safety education visit at Lakeview Primary School, where Fire Educator Dylan Amerson and Lieutenant Law engaged students in an interactive learning experience focused on safety awareness. During the visit, firefighters discussed the importance of water safety, teaching students how to stay safe around pools, lakes, and other bodies of water. The team also introduced the department’s “Friendly Firefighter” program, demonstrating how firefighters put on full protective gear and explaining its purpose in emergency situations. This hands-on approach helps reduce fear and builds trust, ensuring children understand that firefighters are there to help them. Officials emphasized that programs like these play a vital role in community outreach by educating young students on safety practices while fostering positive relationships between first responders and the community. The department expressed appreciation to the staff and students for their warm welcome and continued support of fire safety education initiatives.
