Yulan, NY — March 6th — Yulan Fire Department members took part in a walkthrough of the Millennium Pipeline's Highland Compressor Station.
A total of 21 firefighters attended the tour, which aimed to improve the department's awareness of natural gas and pipeline emergencies. The trip gave participants an overview of the plant, operational safety protocols, and the role first responders may play during pipeline infrastructure problems.
Department officials stated that the training improved preparedness and coordination for potential gas or pipeline problems. The department also praised TC Energy for accommodating the visit and allowing firefighters to tour the site.
