Orleans Responds to Major Winter Storm with Round-the-Clock Effort

Orleans, MA - Over the past week, Orleans experienced one of the most significant winter storms in recent memory.


Throughout the storm and its aftermath, crews from the Department of Public Works (DPW), Fire-Rescue, Police Department, and local utility services demonstrated exceptional dedication, professionalism, and commitment to the community.


Working around the clock, personnel cleared roads, responded to emergencies, restored power, and assisted residents as they navigated difficult and uncertain conditions. Despite long hours, hazardous weather, and complex challenges, the teams maintained a steady focus on public safety and service.


The Town of Orleans expressed particular gratitude to its local crews who went above and beyond to support their community when it mattered most. Their tireless efforts helped ensure that roads reopened, power was restored, and residents remained safe.


Town officials noted that the community is stronger because of the service and commitment shown during the storm. On behalf of the Town and the entire Orleans community, sincere thanks were extended to all those who worked to keep residents safe.
