Fulton, NY - Cody Volunteer Firefighters conducted a training drill focused on improving mask confidence and air consumption management. The session began at the start of an obstacle course where firefighters, wearing blacked-out masks to simulate zero visibility conditions, followed a hose line to locate the nozzle.
Along the course, participants encountered multiple obstructions and obstacles designed to replicate real-life fireground challenges. The exercise helped firefighters practice navigating confined spaces while maintaining control of their breathing and equipment.
The department expressed its appreciation to Assistant Chief O’Brien for designing and setting up the course, which provided a valuable hands-on training experience for the team
