Champlain, NY — 10th March — Several fire chiefs and fire commissioners from Clinton County came to the Champlain Fire District, located at 11006 Route 9 in Champlain, for a meeting and tour of the district's new fire station over the weekend. Regional fire department representatives had the chance to exchange information and talk about problems impacting emergency services around the county during the event.

Attendees examined the district's operations, equipment readiness, and response capabilities while touring the freshly finished station. In order to maintain efficient emergency response and provide mutual aid, volunteer fire departments in northern New York depend heavily on agency collaboration. Departmental coordination of resources, training, and long-term planning is facilitated by meetings between chiefs and commissioners.
